About Netta Rose
Hi! My name Erin Cotterell. Owner & Director of Events at Netta Rose.

Growing up in a family that loves to celebrate and host gatherings, I developed a strong connection to event planning early on. With over a decade of experience in the Food & Hospitality industry, I started my formal training at the Culinary Education Center in Asbury Park, where I earned my degree from Brookdale Community College in Culinary Arts. While attending culinary school, I worked as a Banquet Cook at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale, NJ.

Following culinary school, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. During my time there, I began my career at Riviera Hospitality Group—one of New York City's top catering and events companies—working with prestigious clients.
I currently continue to support Riviera in a smaller capacity as a Project Manager and teach part-time as an adjunct culinary professor at Brookdale Community College, all while thoughtfully growing my own company, Netta Rose Events.
Over the years, I noticed a common theme whenever I attended events—hosts constantly stepping away to check on food, adjust décor, or handle last-minute questions. It was clear how often they missed out on the very moments they had worked so hard to create. That experience inspired me to start Netta Rose: a company built to give hosts the freedom to be present. When someone reliable is handling the logistics, you can focus on what truly matters—being with your guests and making meaningful memories.

Why the name Netta Rose? Netta honors my late Grammy, Antonetta. She was an incredible cook, best known for her delicious meatballs. She was often found frying them up in one of her two large kitchens—an essential feature in her Italian household. Beyond her culinary skills, Netta had a deep love for family, finding joy in hosting all sorts of gatherings, everything from holidays to our cherished weekly Friday night pizza dinners.
Rose pays tribute to Netta's husband and my late Grandfather, Louis. Though I never met him, I’ve always admired the beautiful rose garden at his home that he lovingly tended to before his passing. My Grammy and I often sat together, enjoying the garden from her porch or backyard. My Pop-Pop Louie was also known for throwing the best family parties, even designing his basement with entertaining in mind.
Rooted in a love for bringing people together, Netta Rose is a heartfelt tribute to the warmth and traditions passed down by my grandparents.
